Everyone I Ever Loved (Katz Painting, Colby Museum)
2008
In this 60-minute video, created at the Colby College Museum in Maine, I gaze at a giant Alex Katz painting, while thinking of everyone I have ever loved. I stand extremely still for the duration.
In this 20-minute video, seven people slowly enter a field of ferns as the sun is setting. They gather on the ground and fall asleep. By the end of the piece the screen goes black with night.
